U16 Hurling League Championship – Round 5
Tuesday night, our U16s took on Young Irelands in Round 5 of the League Championship under lights in Piltown, in what proved to be a cracking game of hurling.
Young Irelands got off to a flying start, scoring two goals within the opening minutes. Our lads responded well, battling their way back into the game and going in at half-time 3pts behind, with the score 1-09 to 2-9
Young Irelands dominated much of the play in the second half, but our lads never gave up and fought right until the final whistle. Unfortunately, Young Irelands were the better team on the night.
