Our boys contested three groups matches on Sunday morning in Kilkenny city.

First game was versus O
Loughlin Gaels themselves. We were slow out of the blocks in the first half and went in narrowly behind. Piltown grasped the game by the scruff of the neck at the start of the second half. Great defending and players putting their bodies on the line started a move where we shot a great goal to keep us neck and neck down the straight. In stoppage time we had a free and last minute point to win the game, which we felt along with most of the crowd that we had scored, however the referee must have been out of position and did not award us this score. So the game was drawn.

In the second game we dominated Ballygunner for the entire match and won by 3 points.

We had a break and switched fields which might have unsettled the team. 

The third match was every intense versus Na Piarsigh from Limerick. This was a hard, tight and fiercely contested game, where we came up short by one point. Piltown did show character and spirit to hang in, but we were never in front.

Small margins were the difference today. All
Squad members made good contributions.
