Piltown U16s had an early start on Saturday morning for their opening league match against Tullogher Rosbercon.
Playing with the wind in the first half, Piltown made full use of the advantage, registering some excellent scores in a very physical encounter, to go in at the break leading 0-3 to 1-12.
The second half proved a much tighter contest, but Piltown’s work rate stood out throughout. Every player tracked back, defended in numbers, and showed great composure in working the ball out of defence, with some impressive passages of play.
Piltown ran out deserved winners on a final scoreline of 0-6 to 2-16.
Well done to all involved.
