On Monday evening, our Under 16s made the long journey to Castlecomer for the second consecutive day to take on Erins Own in Round 3 of the League.
Erins Own started brightly, but Piltown soon found their rhythm and went on to dominate the remainder of the first half, with some excellent support play and taking some fine scores.
At the break, Piltown led on a scoreline of 2-12 to 0-8.
Due to injuries sustained during the previous day’s Féile football, Piltown were forced into a number of changes at half-time. However, the lads picked up right where they left off in the second half, with all substitutes making a strong and positive impact.
Piltown maintained control throughout and ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Full time score 0-17 to 3-18
Good win, well done lads.
