JUNIOR CAMOGIE SUMMER LEAGUE 2026.

Piltown 3 -18                 Blacks & Whites 1 -07

Our Junior Camogie side continued their winning ways on Friday 17 April with a comprehensive win over a battling side from Skeough.

The difference between the two sides ultimately was the forwards as Piltowns were more clinical on the night and the defence keeping out the away side at the other end, it was a great performance. And along with a great performance there was some great scores – Grace Farrells first goal coming from a great catch by Danielle Carroll, and her second coming from great work on the wing by Izzy O’Hora who cut inside , laid the sliothar off to Grace, and the All Irelands schools winner made no mistake for her second goal.

A game of very few wides , and with Aine Doyle steady out on the frees meant that Piltown were ahead at the half by six, and really kicked on in the second half. The forwards kept the board moving, with Emma O’Shea, Kate Anthony, and Izzy O’Hora all raising white flags, with Sophie Long nabbing a goal just before the final whistle. Patsy Kenny and Danielle Carroll doing a great job at the back.  A good performance from the home side, and a battling 60mins from the away side with some very good performances in their half back and midfield lines.
