Our U12 group went to Ballyhale on Tuesday night, to play two games, one of boys up to the age of 12 and the second team U11.
Both games were intense affairs, with Piltown setting the tone in both fixtures. All coaches were thrilled with the fight, spirit and genuine appetite to compete and not give up which was great to see.
The U12 players went ahead and stayed ahead throughout, scoring 5-11 or so. They kept focused, and showed great discipline to execute the fundamentals of the game, exhibiting many of the skills we have been working on all year.
The second game for the younger players of the group was a terrific affair. We saw great goal keeping displays and great defending right to the end. It was great to see the boys trying to do the right thing all the time, and winning rucks, fielding high balls and distributing with confidence from the first minute.
Well done to all the boys
