Piltown 2 – 13 Tullogher 0 - 11.
Grace Farrell scored 1 -04 on a breezy cold morning in Piltown as the home side proved to be too strong in the second half , after a close first half, for the visitors from Tullogher.
Farrell was a handful all game , and her goal in the 19th minute which came from a pass from Leah Cooney, left Farrell in on goal, and on her third attempt shooting , after two great saves one after the other from Aisling Power in the Tullogher goal, Grace had the ball in the net from (very) close range.

As was mentioned, the first half was score for score, Tullogher had the breeze that was blowing towards the Road end (now the scoreboard end) , and their flying forward Kate Lyng was a handful. Lyng was scoring from play , and from dead balls, and would end up with 7 points (all of Tulloghers scores) by half time. Piltown were shooting into the breeze, and Grace and Aine Doyle were scoring ours to leave the score at half time : Piltown 1 -05 Tullogher 0 - 07.
Piltown now had the breeze , and started quickly , with Aine Doyle scoring four points, and then Kate Anthony pounced on a loose ball around the goal mouth, and she got there ahead of Sophie Long to raise our second green flag. Such was the dominance in this half , it took Tullogher 13 mins to get a score , again through Kate Lyng, as she scored her 8th point. She had a chance from a penalty just before that but her shot went high to her left and wide of Danielle OBriens goal.
Our other Danielle, Carroll was dominating her half of the pitch as she got on loose ball, and won tackles to set up our attacks repeatedly. Aine Doyle, Grace Farrell and Ruby Norris doing the business and getting scores. Tulloghers Lily Ryan was to the fore for the visitors in the second half as she took over free taking , scoring two in reply, with Sarh OSUllivan closing out the game.
A good display from the home side against a spirited Tullogher side.
Best wishes to the Tullogher player that was unfortunately injured in the first half.
